The Royal New Zealand Air Force has employed the services
of scanning software developer Practical Programs to turn
half a ton of technical drawings into a briefcase of CDs.
The RNZAF recently converted its engineering drawings into
electronic formats and Practical Programs was brought in
to make these drawings viewable from standard PCs.
Practical customised its DataViewer program for the
project; a program developed in conjunction with South
Australian IT&T industry growth initiative the Playford
Centre. The Playford Centre provided funding and research
for Practical Program's DataViewer.
